Supplementing his prior testimony at the NIOSH Zadroga Act Implementation public hearing on March 3, 2011 regarding Ground Zero and cancer, Troy Rosasco of Turley, Hansen & Rosasco submitted written comments to NIOSH recently regarding the inclusion of certain cancers among the list of WTC illnessses covered by the Zadroga 9/11 Act. See the link to our comments here.
The list of those entities and individuals who provided written comments to NIOSH on the Zadroga Act, along with the actual comments in PDF format, can be seen here. In addition, there was a well received seminar over the weekend in New York City sponsored by the World Trade Center Medical Monitoring & Treatment Program at which over 800 WTC first responders attended. Dr. John Howard, Director of NIOSH, was also there to here from responders and their families.
Now let’s hope that in addition to listening, Dr. Howard and NIOSH decide to include coverage for various cancers under the Zadroga 9/11 Act.
