The National Academy of Continuing Legal Education recently invited me to lecture my colleagues on the newly proposed Zadroga Act 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund regulations. The program was entitled “The Legal Aftermath of Tragedy: Review and Developments in the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010”. Lawyers can sign up to see the Zadroga Act video and obtain CLE credits here.
This follows my previous video lecture for Lawline regarding Zadroga 9/11 Act claims. I am sure that I will be writing and lecturing about the Final Zadroga Act Rules when they come out. I am predicting that theFinal Zadroga Act Rules will not be released until after the tenth anniversary of September 11th so as to not cause any controversy prior to that solemn event. This will allow the 9 11 Victim Compensation Fund to hopefully reopen in October for new claims as VCF Special Master Sheila Birnbaum has previously stated.
Stay tuned for further information. Also, stay safe for those of you who have Hurricane Irene coming your way.
