9/11 Victim Compensation Fund Update: Employees Of New York City Agencies May Find It Easier To Prove Their Presence At Ground Zero
This new partnership with NYCERS is good news as Claimants working for these New York City agencies may have been finding it difficult to obtain proof documentation. The general rule is that the VCF requires Claimants to provide two forms of proof. Such proof may include employment records, contemporaneous medical records and witness affidavits. However, if you were an employee of a New York City agency, a member of NYCERS AND filed a WTC-12 Notice of Participation form, you will NOT need to provide the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund with any further documents unless it is requested after the review of your claim.Read More
