9/11 Illnesses Effect Residents in all 50 States – Not Just New York

Sadly, more than 1,800 first responders and victims have died because of 9/11 related diseases. It is estimated that in the end, the number of people who die because of diseases related to working at ground zero will greatly surpass the victims of the attacks that day. Many of these first responders have since left New York and are now living scattered all throughout the United States. As the years passed by, many have developed coughs and other worrisome symptoms. They have been diagnosed with diseases, cancers, and non-curable illnesses – and many are unaware that this is directly attributed to the work they did on 9/11.

3,700 Ground Zero Responders and Others Around USA Have 9/11 Linked Cancers

More than 2,100 firefighters and EMS personnel have retired on disability, primarily with various types of cancer and lung disease. Forty-four New York Fire Department responders died from cancer related to 9/11, while another 65 died from other World Trade Center-linked illnesses.
