Sarcoma (Soft Tissue Cancer)

Sarcoma is a Less Common Cancer Type

Sarcoma (also known as soft tissue cancer) is an uncommon cancer, but one we have unfortunately seen among 9/11 first responders and survivors at an increasing rate.

The VCF lawyers at Hansen & Rosasco, LLP have represented sarcoma clients before the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund, helping to reach VCF settlements that took the financial struggle and stress away from many of these survivors.

Our VCF lawyers won $1.7 million for a NYPD Captain with 9/11 sarcoma soft tissue cancer.

Who You Need a VCF Lawyer

We Solely Represent 9/11 Victims and Families

The attorneys in our law firm have met many first responders and Downtown Manhattan residents and area workers and their families whose health and lives have been devastated due to their exposure to the toxic conditions in the many blocks surrounding Ground Zero.

Our Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) lawyers have helped many of these individuals reach VCF settlements which have, to a certain extent, changed the quality of their lives for the better.

Sarcoma Conditions

Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops from tissues such as bone or muscle. Bone and soft tissue sarcomas are the main types of this cancer. Soft tissue sarcomas often develop from soft tissues like fat, muscle, nerves, blood vessels, or deep skin tissues. They can be found in any part of the body. Most cancers involve tumors called carcinomas.

“My husband died as a result of cancer. This firm was able to help me obtain the compensation I deserve for me and my two minor children. I had no idea we were entitled to that high of a compensation and this firm really worked hard for us! We will always be thankful.” -Gina E.
