WTC Firefighter Claims

Rightful Compensation and Medical Care for 9/11 Firefighters

Our firm is very grateful to the brave firefighters who rushed to the scene of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 and helped in the ongoing recovery efforts at Ground Zero. The firefighters at Ground Zero offered time and service to our great city and country – and we thank them for their tremendous sacrifice. They have done their time – and now we want to get them the care and compensation they deserve.

Remembering the Sacrifice of 9/11 Firefighters

In June and July of 2019, as the fate of the Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) debate continued, the two-hundredth New York firefighter passed away from a 9/11-related illness. The passing of eight firefighters in only the beginning of 2019 – and years of deaths caused by 9/11-related illnesses – have sparked more support for the fund. As the reauthorization and expansion of the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund was signed into law on July 29, 2019, we thought of the many brave men and women who would now have access to full compensation. The firefighters at Ground Zero each have a story. We are here to listen to these brave individuals and represent them.

Were You a 9/11 Firefighter?

If you were a firefighter – or have a family member who was a firefighter – that either acted on the day of the September 11, 2001 attacks or in the months which followed in the recovery efforts at Ground Zero, be aware that you have rights under the 9/11 Fund in addition to any pension or other benefits that you may be receiving. If you are suffering from a 9/11 cancer or another related condition, it is your right to not only get compensation, but the lifetime medical care and treatment that is available through the WTC Health Program – with no deductibles or copays. Firefighters are covered under 9/11 Fund eligibility, for both compensation and healthcare. Our 9/11 attorneys at Hansen & Rosasco, LLP will help you fill out your WTCHP application and get your condition registered for eligibility in filing a claim.

We Represent 9/11 Firefighters With Honor

To the individuals and families of firefighters – thank you for your service to New York City and our country. We want to support you in any and every way that we can during this process. We often see the famous image of three firefighters picking up the flag over the pile of dust that covered Ground Zero. This is an image we remember and think of quite often as we represent each new firefighter, police officer, and first responder case.
